1. NEW APPLICANT'S
QUALIFICATION
Professional Members of
CMATA with
active status are massage therapists who meet the following
qualifications:
Level One – Acupressure
Massage
Therapist

Over 18 years old;

◊ |
Completed a
650-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program with an
average mark above 85%, of which 100-hour acupressure massage
study is a must; |

◊ |
Passed the
theoretical and practicing exams of CMATA;

| |
◊ |
Committed to
undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;
|
| |
◊ |
Pay the annual
due of professional membership as stipulated in
Fees
section. |
Level
Two – Acupressure
Massologist
| |
◊ |
Over 18 years
old; |
| |
◊ |
Completed a
2500-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program with
an average mark above 85%, of which 250-hour acupressure massage
study is a must; |

◊ |
Passed the
theoretical and practicing exams of CMATA; |
| |
◊ |
Committed to
undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA; |
| |
◊ |
Pay the annual
due of professional membership as stipulated in
Fees
section. |
2. ASSOCIATE
MEMBER CRITERIA
An individual of another
massage
association is welcome to apply for the associate membership of
CMATA. He/She is required to meet the following criteria:

member of a recognized massage association; |

◊ |
Completed a
100-hour (in-class and practice) acupressure massage therapy
program with an average mark above 85%; |

◊ |
Committed to
undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA; |

due of associate membership as stipulated in
Fees
section. |
