  Qualification

1. NEW APPLICANT'S QUALIFICATION

    Professional Members of CMATA with active status are massage therapists who meet the following qualifications: 

    Level One – Acupressure Massage Therapist       

 

Over 18 years old;

  Completed a 650-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program with an average mark above 85%, of which 100-hour acupressure massage study is a must;
 

Passed the theoretical and practicing exams of CMATA;

  Committed to undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;
  Pay the annual due of professional membership as stipulated in Fees section.

    Level Two – Acupressure Massologist

  Over 18 years old;
  Completed a 2500-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program with an average mark above 85%, of which 250-hour acupressure massage study is a must;
  Passed the theoretical and practicing exams of CMATA;
  Committed to undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;
  Pay the annual due of professional membership as stipulated in Fees section.

2. ASSOCIATE MEMBER CRITERIA

    An individual of another massage association is welcome to apply for the associate membership of CMATA. He/She is required to meet the following criteria:

  Being an active member of a recognized massage association;
  Completed a 100-hour (in-class and practice) acupressure massage therapy program with an average mark above 85%;
  Committed to undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;
  Pay the annual due of associate membership as stipulated in Fees section.
