Membership
Qualification
New Applicant's Qualification
​
Professional Members of CMATA with active status are massage therapists who meet the following qualifications:
​
Level One – Acupressure Massage Therapist
​

Over 18 years old;
-
Completed a 1000-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program with an average mark above 85%, of which 100-hour acupressure massage study is a must;

Passed the theoretical and practicing exams of CMATA;
-
Committed to undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;
-
Pay the annual due of professional membership.
Level Two – Acupressure Massologist

Over 18 years old;
-
Completed a 2500-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program with an average mark above 85%, of which 250-hour acupressure massage study is a must;
-
Passed the theoretical and practicing exams of CMATA;
-
Committed to undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;
-
Pay the annual due of professional membership.

Associate member criteria
An individual of another massage association is welcome to apply for the associate membership of CMATA. He/She is required to meet the following criteria:

Being an active member of a recognized massage association;
-
Completed a 100-hour (in-class and practice) acupressure massage therapy program with an average mark above 85%;
-
Committed to undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;
-
Pay the annual due of associate membership.
