Qualification

New Applicant's Qualification

​

Professional Members of CMATA with active status are massage therapists who meet the following qualifications: 

​

 Level One – Acupressure Massage Therapist   

​

  • Over 18 years old;

  • Completed a 1000-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program with an average mark above 85%, of which 100-hour acupressure massage study is a must;

  • Passed the theoretical and practicing exams of CMATA;

  • Committed to undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;

  • Pay the annual due of professional membership.

 

Level Two – Acupressure Massologist

​

  • Over 18 years old;

  • Completed a 2500-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program with an average mark above 85%, of which 250-hour acupressure massage study is a must;

  • Passed the theoretical and practicing exams of CMATA;

  • Committed to undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;

  • Pay the annual due of professional membership.

Associate member criteria

 

An individual of another massage association is welcome to apply for the associate membership of CMATA. He/She is required to meet the following criteria:

 

  • Being an active member of a recognized massage association;

  • Completed a 100-hour (in-class and practice) acupressure massage therapy program with an average mark above 85%;

  • Committed to undertaking the ethics and regulations of CMATA;

  • Pay the annual due of associate membership.
