Qualification


Professional Member's Qualification
Professional Members of CMATA with active status are massage therapists who meet the following qualifications:
Level One – Acupressure Massage Therapist
-
Over 18 years old;

Successfully completed a 1000-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program, of which 100-hour acupressure massage study is a must;
-
Committed to undertaking the code of ethics, policies and regulations of the Association;

Fulfill the continuing education requirement of the Association;
-
Carry professional liability insurance;
-
Pay the annual due of professional membership.
Level Two – Senior Acupressure Massage Therapist (Massologist)
-
Over 18 years old;
-
Successfully completed a 2000-hour (in-class and practice) massage therapy program, of which 250-hour acupressure massage study is a must;
-
Committed to undertaking the code of ethics, policies and regulations of the Association;
-
Fulfill the continuing education requirement of the Association;
-
Carry professional liability insurance;
-
Pay the annual due of professional membership.
